Ottawa, Ontario880.665225.R0noneThe oven temperature display (digital) will display the set temperature, although the actual temperature in the oven is much lower. As the oven heats-up, I see the display showing increasing temperature ( 225F, 235F, 245F, etc... ) until it gets to the "desired" temperature, but the actual temp is much less. In my trials, the display will show 350F, but the actual temp ( measured with a separate oven thermometer) will show 150F . Increasing the set temperature (400F-450F)does very little to increase the actual temp. I immediately suspected the temp sensor, so I replaced it(...at a cost of $60 !) . That did nothing. When I measured the resistance of the sensor, (using an Ohm-meter), the values were correct (ie. sensor was working fine..) I know the Bake element is working because it gets hot. I also know that the Broil element works fine , when needed, ...but it never comes on when pre-heating (...nor should it... ) I also hear the relays clicking much more than usual, which leads me to believe the control board is the likely suspect. If I wait long enough, the oven will get marginally hotter (...it will top out at about 275-300F if I wait 30 minutes . So basically , the symptoms are : 1- When setting oven temp, the "desired" temp is reached "quickly" on the display, although the actual temp is much much lower. 2- I've confirmed that both heating elements AND the temp sensor are functioning well. 3- I hear the relays clicking much more often than usual 4- The maximum heat I seem to be able to reach (using the bake element only) is about 275-300F, but this takes very long (20-30 mins) 5- Everything else (cooking coils, clock, etc...) is working fine. At this point (given my limited knowledge of major appliances ...), I'm lead to believe that the problem is "likely" with the control board, specifically with temperature circuitry since the sensor is providing a correct reading, yet the display seems to be way off. But I figured I would check with the experts before forking-over $150 for a new panel. Is there anything else I should be looking for, or is my diagnostic fairly accurate ? LMK, ThanksRepaired
Ottawa, Ontario880.665225R0none : incorrect bakControls work, but oven does not reach ACTUAL temp. ie, if set to 350F, the display will read 350F, but the over will only be a 175F. Even when set to 500F (max), it will only reach about 200F. When pre-heating, temp seems to increase normally up to when it reads about 200F, then it jumps very quickly in increment of 10F . The temp sensor HAS been replaced. Bake and Broil elements also work. Problem appears to be with control board. The relays seem to click much more than usual.Repaired
