I have a Toshiba Satelite M35X-S161 Laptop. It is about five years old. I have not used it very much. It has been sitting. I lost the power cord and purchased Rocketfish power cord and adapter which fits and the laptop power is on. I also purchased PNY 1GB DDR PC2700 Optima Memory and placed it in the receptacle. I did not replace baterry, which I am sure needs charging. What is the procedure to get the screen up? It seems to go on then stop. The startup light remains on. My objective is to take off any programs that are not needed and use the laptop for travel purposes email etc. Should I let that battery charge up and for how long? Pat Customer Wales, WI
