madison, WisconsinWhen turning oven to bake and setting temp, the display will remain at the temp setting for 10-15 seconds. Then it displays 100 degrees for several seconds and then the display goes blank. The heating element does not turn on during this process. However, if we repeat the startup 2 - 5 times, it will work on one of the attempts. The broil and convection settings seem to work OK.Awaiting receipt of timer

30" Electric Wall Oven W/ERC III control and motorized door lock. Reaches selected temperature then flashes "F2" code, beeps and shuts down. Thermal Limit Switch, Fan Thermal Limit Switch and Oven Temperature Sensor all replaced. Cooling fan operates and all connections are proper and tight. The Key Panel Test was done and all buttons beep and operate and display is correct. Is last item that could be defective the "Oven Control Module"? Please advise. Pricey item.
I have the same problem as JuJu (earlier post) "While baking, oven randomly just shuts down. All lights go out and heat goes off.Attemps to restart it fail but if the door is gently slammed shut it comes back on again. the 888 appears on the panel and the I reset the settings. This happens many times during the course of baking. Unable to keep the oven on for any length of time. No error message.
We have a GE oven model JTP15WDA1WW. It doesn't display any error codes, but just completely shuts off during baking. Sometimes it can be turned back on. Other times it shuts off completely and the screen goes blank. The buttons won't work. Then after a while, the clock will start flashing again and it will come back on. I'm wondering what the problem can be. It is becoming more frequent.
Oven may or may not heat. This is intermittent. No fault codes are displayed. When it does heat, temp rises no higher than 200 deg. Will not warm on self clean either but door locks properly. clock and display read normal. I cut power completely to try reset, but still won't operate. Could it be anything else but the control unit? I can do a simple plug-in replacement, but parts sites say that wiring may be different than the original control.. Please help.
Installed new oven control your part AP3155968, now have power to unit but will not work, can only set the hour on the clock using the keypad, installation instructions received are too light to read. Question , does the broil terminal require the purple and black wire to be hooked up? The new part does not have a ground terminal plug behind the transformer like the old part, it only has the neutral terminal. I have a green wire going from the neutral terminal to the oven being used as neutral, is this a problem? Please help.
Oven does not recognize any buttons except clear/off key. All others do nothing when pressing.... bake, broil, cooking time, clock etc. I have noticed if turning breaker off to oven it will occasionally work for a day then stop again. clock comes on but know error codes nothing.
