San Jose, CaliforniaJSP28G0N1BGF1The connection from the timer to the Broiler seems to be the problem, as everything else works. I even tried buying a new broiler element. The timer beeps after using the stove top or oven, if it gets warm near the timer. Occasionally, the timer beeps when we are not even using the appliance.Awaiting receipt of timer

Rochester, MinnesotaJDP37GOL8BGF1Shortly after running the self cleaning mode on our oven/range for the first time, the display started going dim from time to time. It would come back sometimes if you lightly tapped on the display. Some time later the display went to -F1- and the controller started beeping incessantly. Following is the complete debug history: I have a GE drop in range, Model # JDP37GOL8BG, Serial # RD405153Q. It started beeping and displayed -F1- on the display. I can clear the -F1- display and stop the beeping by pressing the 'Cancel' button, however, after 15 seconds it displays -F1- again and starts beeping all over again. I replaced the keypad and the electronic controller, because that is what was suggested in online error code tables. I installed the new keypad/controller, and operation is the same. The only way I can get it to stop beeping is if I stand there and keep hitting the 'Cancel' button, or, after hitting the 'Cancel' button, I turn on the oven. It then doesn't beep, however, the oven doesn't warm and the temperature indicator sits at 100 degrees, the lowest temperature indication. The time of day clock keeps time. I have also replaced the temperature senser (in the oven) since the oven wasn't heating, with no effect; both the old and new temperature sensers measure 1.09 kohm at room temperature. The top and bottom heating elements worked fine prior to the -F1- display/beeping issue. I have looked at the wiring and there is no indication of heat, age, or shorting. Since I don't have a wiring diagram, I don't know what additional troubleshooting I can perform, or if I could have received a bad keypad/controller. The keypad/controller I am sending is the one original to our range/oven.Repaired
