As per our telecon on Wed, 1/13, the enclosed Whirlpool Model LHA 7800W1 washer mechanical timer doesn't work on the Normal and Delicate final SPIN CYCLE. It does complete the Permanent Press cycle. If I hold the knob, and put pressure on it in different directions as if it were a joystick, the final Normal wash spin cycle will engage.
I'm looking forward to a repaired and fully functional mechanical timer. And thanks again for your tips in my search for a Kenmore portable washer water inlet valve solenoid, my "backup washer" until the timer is repaired.
